Frequently Asked Questions

About our prints

How are your prints made?

Our fine art print range is produced using giclee print techniques.

They are printed on museum-quality fine art print paper with a textured, matt finish. They are extremely durable and designed to last for many years.

The museum-quality paper contains no optical brightening agents, making it a very stable, long-lasting substrate.

What is a Giclée print?

The word “Giclée” is French for “sprayed ink.” Today, the term is used to describe a sophisticated inkjet printmaking process which creates the highest quality fine art reproductions.

How long do Giclée prints last?

A lot of research and development has gone into the various aspects and materials that make up a Giclée print.

The archival nature of the print varies according to the type of inks used, as well as the archival properties of your chosen paper selected and the conditions in which the print is displayed or stored. Current scientific lab reports suggested that our recommended papers and Giclée printing process will produce a print that lasts between 100-200 years in optimal conditions.

Please note any print located in direct sunlight is still likely to fade over time.

How are your frames made?

Our framed prints combine the finest quality materials with the highest levels of craftsmanship. All our frames are handmade by Guild recognised framers.

Our classic frame is created from high-quality wood, milled with simple clean lines and presented with a satin finish.

What are average production times?

All prints are made to order and will be produced within 3-5 days.

Framed prints and canvas prints have longer production timeframes of between 7-10 business days.

Are your papers sustainable

Yes, we only work with printers who offer responsibly sourced paper from sustainably managed forests.

About Shipping

How are your products packaged for shipping?

All prints are robustly packaged. Our unframed fine art prints are hand rolled in protective tissue paper and then shipped in extra thick cardboard tubes.

All framed and canvas prints are wrapped in a protective sleeve with individual plastic or cardboard guards added to each corner. Additional cardboard is secured over the print surface to minimise the risk of breakages or transit damage. Each print is then shipped in a heavy duty cardboard box.

What happens if a product is damaged in transit?

We ask for a photo of the damaged goods, and we’ll then gladly send a free replacement.

Do orders ship with tracking?

All orders include tracking, you will receive an email with your tracking number once it has been packed and is ready to ship.
